Features of Living at Westchester Harbour

Customized Care

We work with each and every resident to design a customized care program that includes daily living activities assistance provided by certified medical technicians and CNA’s. Our residents get the support they need to interact, participate, and stay engaged. In such an environment, assisted living residents are often able to return to independent living.

Comforts of Home

Westchester Harbour features 90 professionally designed private and semi-private rooms, a spacious and inviting dining area and a relaxing outdoor courtyard patio. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided.

Memory Care Unit

We offer a secure memory care unit at Westchester Harbour that will enhance care and stimulation on a daily basis for those special residents who need assistance with daily life activities due to lack of cognition brought on by dementia or Alzheimer disease.

Dining

We know that the food quality, plate presentation, and the overall dining experience matter when we’re bringing everyone together to eat. That’s why we partnered with the Culinary Services Group, a top 50 food services management company specializing in senior living. They take a food first approach, which simply means that they serve real food before relying on supplements. Using fresh, locally-sourced food, our menus are designed to meet the nutritional needs of our residents and all of the dishes are made from scratch. Hot meals are served 3 times per day and the menus are developed and changed frequently to provide the highest match for the needs and tastes of our residents, offering many choices at each meal.

Activities and Programs

Here at Westchester Harbour, our fun group activities are always a main focus. Throughout each week, we provide activities that focus on physical strength, spiritual needs, social interactions, teamwork, relaxation, and intellectual wellbeing. Bingo, puzzles, cooking, and of course manicures are just a few fun activities, and outings are encouraged when weather permits.

Westchester Harbour is always looking for new and innovative ways to spend our time. One of our special features is our 70-inch interactive panel. This looks like a large television on wheels, but it is so much more. With a full touch screen, our residents are able to immerse into a variety of interactive games, virtual travel tours, and even using skype to visit with others out in the community. Our main goal at Westchester Harbour is to provide the best quality of life for our residents. We believe that our activity department plays a key role in achieving that goal.

Ministerial Care

Our ministry department exists to provide spiritual support and encouragement for our residents. Various services of non-denominational Christian worship are offered each week at different times and in different venues across our campus. Our ministry staff is also available to provide spiritual counsel and to be a listening ear for residents and family members. Although our role is not to take the place of a person’s local religious community, we strive to be a supplement to those communities while residents are at our facilities.
