Grant-a-Dream™
Grant-a-Dream supports the fulfillment of a resident’s dream that they’ve been unable to make happen on their own. Some dreams are priceless and require effort and coordination but no monetary expense. When there are costs, a designated fund through the EveryAge Foundation supports reasonable expenses for a dream to be fulfilled.
Once a Grant-a-Dream application is submitted, the Dream Team reviews the request. Examples of past dreams include allowing a resident to bake like she did as a young woman or having a retired fireman ride a fire truck as he did 30 years ago.
Anyone can donate to the designated Grant-a-Dream fund by mailing a gift or making a contribution at www.EveryAge.org/Foundation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)?
Continuing Care Retirement Communities are designed for older adults. They offer a continuum of care, which may include independent living, in-home services, assisted living, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitative care, all in a campus setting. In North Carolina, CCRC’s are licensed by the NC Department of Insurance.
What is the lifestyle at Providence Place?
Providence Place is home to active people with a love for life, ideas, activity, and engagement. Residents at Providence Place enjoy a purpose-filled lifestyle with opportunities to volunteer, attend on-campus events, or enjoy off-campus trips. Our fitness room offers an ideal place for residents to exercise with weights and machines, and the campus itself offers lots of areas for outdoor walking.
Is independent living right for me?
Independent living residents at Providence Place enjoy a low-stress lifestyle where maintenance, lawn care, and other home ownership worries are taken care of. Residents in independent living are offered a program of activities and events for personal enrichment but are free to come and go as they please.
What type of contracts are offered?
Providence Place is in the process of being licensed as a CCRC by the North Carolina Department of Insurance (DOI). Under their guidelines, we offer residents a rental contract, which does not require a large entrance fee and allows you to pay for additional services only as you need them.
May I customize a home?
As a rental retirement community, our homes are not customizable. However, you’re encouraged to add personal touches to your space with your own furnishings and decor.
May I bring a pet?
Yes, Providence Place is pet-friendly, although some restrictions may apply. We kindly ask you to keep your pet’s vaccines up-to-date and their records readily available.
Can I have overnight guests?
Yes, guests are welcome to stay in your home. To be considerate of other residents, guests are asked to keep visits to less than seven days.
What are my dining options?
Providence Place residents dine in their own homes. Meals can be delivered for a fee. Residents may also choose to use a meal delivery service to enjoy many of the local restaurants in High Point.
Do I need to be of a certain denomination to live at Providence Place?
No, Providence Place is open to people of any spirituality or faith. All are welcome. Our Spiritual Life team can help you locate a local church if you’re interested.
Is there dementia care?
Many of our team members receive specific, thorough, and ongoing training to provide appropriate care to older adults with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Oftentimes, residents may reside anywhere on our campus with the right amount of support. Within Westchester Harbour (assisted living) and Westchester Manor (healthcare), we have secured memory support areas.
What happens when a couple needs different care levels?
This is a common question. Some care can be provided by our licensed in-home care agency. When additional care is needed, a spouse may choose to stay in independent living while the other spouse needing extra care will relocate to gain access to the appropriate services. Providence Place makes it convenient for a couple to be in the same community and receive different levels of care.
I live out of state. Can I still move there and what is the process?
Yes, many residents move to Providence Place from outside of North Carolina. Our marketing team can use platforms like Facetime or Microsoft Teams to provide virtual tours and reduce your need to be on campus physically until the move. The marketing team is happy to work with you to make this process as convenient and easy as possible.
Do you offer transportation?
Providence Place helps to coordinate transportation services with an approved company, to medical appointments, personal outings, the airport, etc. Fees may apply.
What is the next step to become a resident at Providence Place?
We invite you to visit our community and see first-hand why so many active adults call Providence Place home. Come meet our residents and see what makes Providence Place a retirement destination.
